About Us

About us

Cayuga Tree Service was established in 1969, by Arthur C. Sandstrom. His son, Chris Sandstrom, has worked with the company since 1969 and became the Owner/President of Cayuga Tree Service, Inc. in 1988. Chris is a 1975 Graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and Syracuse University, with a B.S. degree in Resource Management. He serves the surrounding communities as a member of Central New York Land Trust, Environmental Commission for the Town of Elbridge, and College of Environmental Science and Forestry alumni association. To stay current with industry knowledge, Chris receives Continuing Education credits and attends extended training by ASCA and yearly meetings and Advanced Seminars. Chris shares his knowledge and expertise as an annual visiting speaker at SUNY ESF, for Professor Charles Manyard’s Arboriculture class.

As is a certified Arborist and President of Cayuga Tree Service, Chris oversees each project through it’s inception to it’s completion, ensuring that the client receives the very best experience. With his involvement, the company has been able to grow to serve Central New York and surrounding areas for over four decades. Cayuga Tree Service has the knowledge, experience, and equipment to handle all phases of tree care. We also offer consulting and appraisal services.
